Ercüment Kılıç is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics and International Politics.
He has been an NGO leader in the leader. His reformist achievements and as his contributions to the civil society become well recognized in the US as he became invited to the White House by a US President.
He was also received by US Vice President Dick Cheney, the former Speakers of the House Dick Armey and Dennis Hastert. Kilic has also done work for the past US Ambassador to Turkey Hon. Robert Pearson
As a political commentator and promoter of trade he has appeared over 200 Television and radio programs in the US, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. His interviews and research papers have appeared in many newspapers and magazines
Between 2005-2008 he served as president of Turkish Amerikan Chamber of Commerce. For promoting exports to the USA by SME’s he has organized export sempoziums. Promoted name-brand recognition methods and marketing strategies.
Kılıç has also been invited to Europe by The US State Department to speak at various functions.
Between 1991-2002 as the TCI president (Trade Coordinators International). performed contract negotiations, accounts payable/receivable, statistical analysis, supervision of employees, account acquisition and purchasing.
Served as President of ATAA (Assembly of Turkish American Associations) in Washington D.C which is the umbrella organization of 70 associations across the US.
There, he has initiated various reformist actions such as national voter registration drives, internship programs for college students at the United States Congress, joint conferences with Washington think tanks. Among other public initiatives he sponsored were educating the American children on world cultures, working with the battered women’s organizations, feeding the street hungry, blood donation campaigns, organizing meetings of Voters Leagues of Women, organizing conferences by American historians, and programming contribution to PBS Public TV programs.
He has worked at various American political campaigns. Between 1990 and 1995, he worked as an advisor to Congressman Jim Moody and became instrumental in Mr. Moody’s becoming the first American Congressman to visit Azerbaijan in its history. He arranged formal trips for Mr Moody to Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Russia
Kılıç is also recognized for his worldwide cultural promotion activities for a period of 25 years. Due to his earlier training jn arts, he has been invited to give lectures in all 50 states in the US and also England, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. As a musician, during his university years he had played and produced many musical recordings in the US.
He is currently an adjunct professor at International Relations Department of Dogus University in Istanbul.

His new book soon to be published is titled “2 Nations, 2 Leaders and 2 Fates”, a two part book, a novel and an academic study, respectively. In part one, Atatürk, the father of modern Turkey and Emreror Meiji, the father of modern Japan, meet in the gardens of heaven. And in part two, Kılıç tells where Japan and Turkey have ended up today with the inheritence of Westernization the two fathers have left behind.
He was also a nominee by MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) for Turkish House of Representatives during the 2011 general elections, representing Istanbul.
Ercüment Kılıç is married and is a father of one.
